Pueblo

The Pueblo Indians occupied the territory of the present-day states of Arizona and New Mexico. The Pueblo people have preserved their traditions to the present day. They live in earthen or stone houses, built like multi-family houses, often with several stories. Traditionally, the Pueblo are engaged in agriculture, growing beans and corn. They are also very good at making pottery which has been handed down from generation to generation. The Pueblo population today is about 32 thousand people.
