NunatuKavut Partners on Adequate Household Food Supply Research

NunatuKavut is working with the Atlantic Centre of Excellence for Women's Health and Dalhousie University to host a series of group discussions around the issue of adequate food supplies, weight challenges and associated chronic diseases. These session will help to collect experiences of women between the ages of 18 and older and to gain a better of understanding of the scope of related issues in Atlantic Canada. A session is scheduled for Happy Valley - Goose Bay on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Labrador Friendship Centre from 9am - 12noon. Check out details of the "Full Plate" session here

2011/2012 HARVESTING PLAN & GUIDELINES: SUMMARY

1. As of January 9, 2012, caribou hunting tags will be issued, without cost to NunatuKavut members based on family subsistence needs, up to a maximum of two caribou per household.
