(Preference will be given to members/beneficiaries of Innu Nation, Nunatsiavut , and Labrador Métis Nation)
The Labrador Aboriginal Training Partnership (LATP) will oversee a comprehensive
Training-to-Employment Plan to prepare Innu, Inuit and Métis
residents for employment opportunities throughout Labrador.
Reporting to the Board, the Executive Director (Competition # LATP-001)
will direct the LATP team in the development and implementation of the
LATP Operational Plan, responsible for the effective
administration and operation of the LATP office in Goose Bay, NL and the
Outreach offices in Labrador Aboriginal Communities. This position will
be based in Goose Bay and requires extensive travel and will require
working outside a normal nine to five schedule.
In respect of education and training, you should also possess
knowledge of Innu, Inuit and Labrador Métis culture and traditions, labour
force and socio/economic conditions.
